Mctease @ Therapy Lounge – April 11

Brantford's own Mctease

Deep jams at a frantic pace.

Trevor and Mick are bringing their frantically fun band Mctease down to Therapy Lounge!

Mctease don’t take themselves too seriously, but they do seriously rock!

Playing their instruments like men possessed, their passion pours through with each note.
Let them draw you in to their musical good times!

from brantfordbands.com:

Trevor Cobb is a welcoming and charismatic guy and this comes through brilliantly in his music. His husky voice, energetic strumming and humourous nature make him seem like the long lost third member of Tenacious D. That same vibrant energy and love of music are apparent when Mick Montgomery starts rhythmically walloping his conga drum.
Mctease play a blend of rock, country and generally upbeat tunes. Whatever genre they flowed through, Mick and Trevor made each song seem completely theirs, even when they play a covers. Their original songs are wonderfully frivolous, with lyrics that cause bursts of joyous laughter and a rousing cadence that makes it impossible not to stomp along to the beat.

Hard Knocked 4 Schools Out

Get on the floor!

ChemicalB presents some of southern Ontario’s best DJs
blowing the roof off of the Brantford Arts Block!

The Hard Knocked crew have reunited after more than a decade,
to bring some deep bass and danceable electronic beats to Brantford.

from brantfordartsblock.ca:

Lights
Projections
19+bar
And of course some of southern Ontario’s best djs
Featuring

  • Nebula
    -live p.a.- Techno (Toronto)
    breakandenter | Juggernaut Music
A deep hard driven techno artist with a background in breaks,
makes for a great show every time.
The best part is he doesn’t play tracks records or cds.
Nebula makes his own tracks on the spot with his various instruments of mass destruction.
  • Elixir
    -hard psi trance (Toronto)
    Djelixir.com | wheremusiclives.ca | CHC | Dynamix uk
One of my favorite trance djs playing something a little different then the usual.
    Hard trance/psi trance/techno/breakbeats.
Elixir never dissapoints and always has a few new tricks up his sleeve.
  • SoundFX
    – Techno/dubstep (Niagara Falls)
6N7 Music | Reka Preka | Double Decker
Soundfx plays a little of everything but pulls it all together nice.
You would have to glue me to the floor to keep me from dancing his set away.
  • CemicalB
    – Old skool techno/electro
    HarD-KnockeD
And of course there’s me playing an all vinyl old school set to kick the night off.
Please forward and invite your friends and their friends and grandparents.
Brantford has no electronic music scene but its time to get with the program and have a night to remember.
